Andy E. Williams – CEO

Most recently Andy E. Williams has been an Associate Partner and before that a Senior Architect at IBM. As a solution architect he focused primarily on the architecture and design of data integration, application integration, and process integration solutions using Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) and other techniques. While at IBM Andy specialized in WebSphere Message Broker, WebSphere MQ, and WebSphere Process Server. Using these technologies Andy contributed to thought leadership within the IBM organization in modeling integration solutions, particularly in defining how to model and package customer requirements and design specifications for delivery by offshore resources.

Andy has a number of software related patents and was active within the IBM organization in outlining patterns for development which allowed integration solutions to be developed in a way that is portable across application integration middleware from IBM, Tibco, WebMethods, SeeBeyond, and other middleware supporting java.

As a integration architect for Nobeah Andy has architected solutions meeting the most demanding of performance and availability requirements for Retail, Healthcare, and other industries. Andy has done this using a wide range of technologies, and using standards such as X12 EDI, HL7, FundSERV,  and SAP IDOCs. Andy is the also creator of Nobeah’s Remote Managed Development Methodology, an efficient, repeatable, and organized approach to creating scope estimates, developing requirements, architecting, and creating design specifications so as to better manage interactions with teams of off-shore developers.

At Nobeah Andy has supported community service initiatives such as the former GiveLearning.com, a Canadian Not for Profit Financial Services Organization created to encourage educational savings - particularly among those communities underserved by post-secondary educational institutions. Acting as Chairman of the Board of Directors, and Lead Architect for this organization. Andy developed the concept and business plan and recruited the organizations V.P. and director level executives. Andy also architected and developed the organizations prototype J2EE web portal application, allowing customers to purchase educational gifts from a beneficiary’s gift registry which are then contributed to the beneficiary’s RESP. The portal allows the subscriber (usually the beneficiary’s parent) to review the history of gifts received and was implemented

Prior to this period Andy was the principal of NextPhase Software Inc. a Canadian independent consulting effort specializing in solutions related to the Baan application. While at NextPhase Andy led and managed development teams for clients such as Nortel, Howden Fan and Diebold. These teams implemented business intelligence, data warehousing, application and data integration, barcoding, and business process monitoring and automation solutions.
